This camel with her baby was near Kakadu National Park. Camels were brought to Australia for transportation in the deserts. Now wild camels thrive across much of the country's western regions. Some camels are culled as pests but they are too well-established to eradicate. Occasionally some are captured and sold to Arabia. |
